Website in a week - HOW IT WORKS

 I’ll ask you for everything I need to get your site designed and launched. You don’t need to think too much, you just have to follow the process. You won’t end up spinning your wheels, or go too far in the wrong direction wasting precious money and time.  

  • Book a discovery call so we can have a chat to discuss what you need and find out if our services are the right fit for your project.

  • Spend a few hours filling out one simple form. I’ve created the form to help me gather all the info I’ll need from you to create a beautiful and effective one page website.

  • Because this website is bigger than a normal small business website, we will spend an hour or so discussing all of the details of your vision about what you need for your website.

  • Early Week: You’ll receive a walk through of your completely designed home page and a key sub page. You’ll have a day or so to provide any feedback.

    Mid Week: The rest of the website will be designed and you’ll have a day or so to provide any feedback.

    Launch Day A Week Later: We will make an appointment for a day and time to launch your site approximately a week later. You’ll need to have your credit card and passwords ready. We’ll tackle tasks like domain connection, Squarespace accounts, and then launch!

  • Training: Up to 60 minutes of one-on-one training is available to you. We will schedule a time that works for both of us.

    You’ll also have up to 45 days of email support. I’ll respond via email within a day or so during business hours. I’ll provide support to troubleshoot any issues and walk you through basic tasks you want to undertake on your own.

When we both take a week to be focused on your website and you make sure to complete your intake form on time, here’s what you can get in a week:

 

  • Up to an 8 - page Squarespace website (Typical pages include: Home, Services/Product, About and Contact)

  • Yes. I only offer this service working with Squarespace. You don’t need to have it before we start, you can set it up on the day of our one page website design. I will create the site on my Squarespace account and in the course of working together I will transfer ownership of the website to you and guide you through the process of getting your Squarespace account set up.

  • I’ve been designing websites since 2009. They were mostly church and nonprofit sites, but I kept having friends asking me to design sites for them and their businesses. It turns out I was pretty good at it, which is why people kept asking me for a website. So I decided to turn it into a business, and it’s my passion to help small businesses, ministries, and nonprofits get a functional and beautiful website put together without breaking the bank.

  • Yes! We’ve worked with clients all over the world. There will likely be a time zone difference which may make things a bit challenging, but it’s a one and done sprint. You’ll need to make yourself available for the duration of the session via a chat channel (determined during a Discovery Call). That’s how we can get so much done so quickly; by eliminating the drag of email latency and all of the back and forth.

  • We will book your day far enough in advance for you to get your work done. I understand that ‘life happens’ and if you aren’t done in time you can re-schedule your day once. If your pre-work is not completed by the date of the re-schedule you will lose your design dates (and your deposit).

  • Yes, but. We are quite confident at our ability to build websites. But, this working style is dynamic and hiccups can happen. If we find that we have to course correct, for example, you feel you don’t like the colors you decided on after all, we’ll have to take stock and re-prioritize. I will continually ask you: ‘is this a must-have to launch?’

    The assessment call should help reduce these kinds of stumbling blocks. I’ll also go through all your desired features during the call and let you know if we can realistically get them done in a day.

  • This shouldn’t happen, but if you like, you have the option of booking another day or half day to finish up what couldn’t be done in a day. Launch In A Week clients do get access to special 90 minute, half day and full day rates where I can help you build on the website we create.

  • You can if you’d like, but the invoice provides you with an option to pay 50% up front and 50% upon site launch.

  • I will make sure basic SEO settings are in place (site title, description, browser icons, etc.). However SEO is a separate marketing exercise that you must undertake after the site is launched.
